Curb rash is vehicle damage on the rims of our tyres, caused by hitting curbs or other obstructions, leaving scuff marks, scratches, and sometimes gouges. Though curb rash is unsightly, it can be fixed.
The main reason we think you should fix curb rash before selling a car, however, is that it's surprisingly cheap to do. Can a distorted wheel be repaired?

Is curb rash covered by insurance?

As above, yes, scuffed alloy wheels can be restored to their pristine condition. The wheel is usually sanded down to remove the scratch or scuff. After this, the engineer will usually apply a primer and colour coded paint to make them look shiny and new again. This process only usually takes a few hours.21-Jun-2022

Next, using some sort of filler, any gouges are repaired. The filler needs to be sanded down to the surface of the wheel.
