Can DPD return to sender?
If you are sent a product that is faulty or not what you wanted, send it back by DPD.
Here's how it works: To be able to offer DPD returns on your website, you'll first need to add a link to our returns service. Shoppers who click on the link will see your brand for reassurance and then complete a short form with details of their return item. They'll then be emailed their return label for them to print.

How does DPD pickup shop work?
DPD Pickup allows you to have your parcel delivered to your local DPD Pickup shop (2,500 shops). You'll be notified by email & SMS when your parcel is ready to collect, and you'll have up to 7 days to collect at a time to suit you. Select the DPD Pickup option in the checkout.

If the address is correct - You can have the post office resend the package out again and it will not cost you. I had a package that was done to me this same way and the Postal Clerk puts a label on it and resends it free of charge. This happens sometimes as the carrier makes a mistake.09-Oct-2014

What happens to uncollected DPD parcels?
If your parcel has not been collected, you may be able to rebook your collection, or switch to a drop-off service.
In the event a buyer refuses to make payment for their parcel, the item will be returned back to seller. However, a lot of failed orders may result in buyer being permanently banned from placing Cash on Delivery orders in the future.
Does DPD charge for a redelivery?

What happens if you miss DPD twice?
DPD will attempt to deliver twice. If you miss both attempts and don't contact them to rearrange your delivery, your parcel will either go to nearest pick up location or be taken back to the depot where it will be held for 3 days before returned to our warehouse.
Your driver is required to hand over the parcel at the point of delivery, unless we have your permission to leave the parcel somewhere safe. The parcel sender is expecting a signature as proof of delivery, instead of a signature, our driver takes a photo of the parcel in the doorway to prove it was handed over.
