Can I change date with DFDS?
If after modification your reservation has a value lower than its original value, the difference is not refundable. Line changes, date, time, number of passengers or type of vehicle may result in a fare increase which will be added to the amendment fee.

What happens if I miss my ferry DFDS?
If you missed your sailing, you have no claim for refund or credits of the amount paid for the trip. On our English Channel services, if you miss your ferry crossing for any reason, you can transfer free of charge (subject to availability) to the sailing directly after your original booked crossing time.

Can you cancel ferry tickets?
In order to cancel your ferry tickets, you need to make a cancellation request at least 3 days (72 hours) before your ferry is scheduled to depart.
You are entitled to compensation of 25% of your ticket price, for that part of the affected journey, if your service is delayed for at least: One hour for a journey of duration four hours. Two hours for a journey of duration between four and eight hours.
Can you take food on a DFDS ferry?

Can I just turn up at Dover and get a ferry?
You can just turn up of course. However, you may well end up paying a premium amount of £££ for your last-minute crossing, just like lo cost plane co's, crossing fares get more expensive, the later you leave it.
Make sure you leave in plenty of time – check-in closes 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure time for foot passengers and 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time for all other categories of traffic.
