What if PO box is too small for package?
If you order PO box that's too small, all your mail may not fit inside. What happens when your mail doesn't fit, or you get a package? Well, that depends. You may receive a note in your PO box to retrieve your mail at the service counter or get a key to a larger storage box.
If your community mailbox or PO Box is owned by USPS, you must surrender your keys to your local post office prior to your move. The post office will then re-key the box and lock for any new tenants. If your mailbox is privately owned, relinquish both your mailbox and house keys.

A key will be left in the mailbox to be used as a parcel locker key. This key has a tag that indicates the parcel locker that contains the item. Insert the key into the correct parcel locker, and the mail piece can be retrieved. The key will remain in the locker once it is inserted.
How does my parcel locker work?
