Does DPD have ID?
If you want to be really sure, we offer an ID-check with our domestic shippment. Delivery is exclusively to the person you nominate, who must produce their identification document (identity card, passport or driving licence).

Will DPD text me before delivery?
DPD will send delivery updates by text. You'll get a text: the day before the delivery, including tracking information and an the option to rearrange. on the morning of the delivery - you'll get a one-hour scheduled delivery time (e.g. between 12.24 and 13.24) and the name of the DPD driver.
Choose from one of our 2,500 local Pickup shops and we'll have your parcel ready for you by midday tomorrow. You'll need to be bring 2 pieces of ID, photo ID and ID with your address on it, such as a utility bill.
Do DPD deliveries require a signature?
Can I also send a registered parcel? With every delivery of a parcel via DPD, the driver asks for a signature for receipt. This is a standard service of DPD and therefore without any extra costs.
The driver will make one delivery attempt. You're not there? The driver will try to deliver your parcel to your neighbour or at a Pickup parcelshop, so that you may receive your parcel as soon as possible but not later than 7 days.
Can I collect parcel without card?
For security reasons, without the card you can't collect the item from your local Customer Service Point or Post Office Counter. To arrange a Redelivery online you'll need to know the details of the delivery, including the name on the item, address, date the card was left and, if you have it, the item number.
How long do you hold parcels which have not been delivered? We hold parcels for a maximum of 21 days before they are returned to sender. Parcels which have been delivered to a Pickup Point are held at the Pickup Point for six days before being returned to sender.
What is a DPD pickup pass?
DPD Pickup allows you to have your parcel delivered to your local DPD Pickup shop (2,500 shops). You'll be notified by email & SMS when your parcel is ready to collect, and you'll have up to 7 days to collect at a time to suit you. Select the DPD Pickup option in the checkout.

How many parcels do DPD drivers deliver a day?
You will deliver 120 stops on average everyday without fail, 120 stops could be anywhere from 130-170 parcels of ALL shapes and sizes! The van is loaded to the roof.
DPD's delivery operation will run between 9am and 5pm on Sundays, with our network of 52 nationwide depots also being open during these times.
Can another person pick up my package at the post office?

Can I collect my parcel from DPD Depot?
If I miss the delivery from DPD can I arrange to pick up from my local DPD depot? Yes. There is a facility to do this via the email or text you receive from DPD.
Your dpd driver is required to take a photo of the parcel at the point of delivery as a proof of delivery. The parcel sender is expecting a signature as proof of delivery, instead of a signature, our driver takes a photo of the parcel in the doorway to prove it was handed over.

How many times will DPD try to deliver a parcel?
Business address. If you are sending a parcel to a business address, the driver will attempt to deliver the parcel a maximum of three times. The last attempt will only take place by appointment. If it still was not possible to deliver the parcel, the parcel will send back to the sender.
We can leave your parcel somewhere safe at the delivery address, deliver it to your neighbour, drop it off at your local shop or change the delivery date provided the sender has not instructed us to get a signature.
