What is the FedEx clinical pack?
For your convenience, we offer the FedEx® Clinical Pak as a packaging option for exempt clinical sample shipments. We recommend the FedEx Clinical Pak for use when the sturdy outer packaging of your properly packaged shipment is smaller than 18 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm (7" x 4" x 2") (minimum acceptable package size).
FedEx considers a package to be oversized when the length is over 96 inches in length or 130 inches in length and girth combined. FedEx will apply its dimensional weight calculation to the package, but the shipper will also be subject to a minimum of 90 pounds billable weight.13-Nov-2019
Can I put a box in a FedEx Pak?
You may use your own packaging if boxes are sturdy and undamaged with all flaps intact. Chipboard boxes, such as gift or shoe boxes, must be packed into a corrugated outer box. Use double-wall boxes for heavier items. Place small packages inside a larger outer box.

What is considered an oversized package?
USPS defines an oversize package as any package over 108” in combined length and girth, but not more than 130”. No matter how large your package, it cannot exceed 70 lbs. UPS considers a package oversized when it is over 165” in combined length and girth, or if it weighs over 150 lbs.

How do I use FedEx clinical Pak?
Use watertight containers for liquid specimens with a positive closure such as a screw-on, snap-on or push-on lid, taped for an additional seal. If you place multiple fragile primary receptacles in a single secondary receptacle, they must be individually wrapped or separated to prevent contact between them.
For even heavier items, try UPS Ground. The service accepts packages that weigh up to 150 pounds. For very large and heavy items such as furniture, FedEx Freight might save you money on shipping. Heavy products need to ship in stronger cardboard boxes to stay secure in transit.16-Sept-2020
