What if I miss my ferry DFDS?
On our English Channel services, if you miss your ferry crossing for any reason, you can transfer free of charge (subject to availability) to the sailing directly after your original booked crossing time. If you have purchased a Flexi ticket this transfer window is extended to 72 hours.
You are unable to make changes to your booking online once the journey has commenced. To change any parts of your booking whilst travelling, please contact us on live chat or for Dover-France or Newcastle-Amsterdam bookings call 0344 848 6090 and for Newhaven-Dieppe bookings call 0800 917 1201.
Can you take food on a DFDS ferry?
DFDS state that you are allowed to take your own food and soft drinks on board to be consumed in your cabin (no alcohol).
In order to cancel your ferry tickets, you need to make a cancellation request at least 3 days (72 hours) before your ferry is scheduled to depart.
Can I get on an earlier ferry DFDS?

Can I just turn up at Dover and get a ferry?
You can just turn up of course. However, you may well end up paying a premium amount of £££ for your last-minute crossing, just like lo cost plane co's, crossing fares get more expensive, the later you leave it.
