How long do DPD hold parcels?
How long do you hold parcels which have not been delivered? We hold parcels for a maximum of 21 days before they are returned to sender. Parcels which have been delivered to a Pickup Point are held at the Pickup Point for six days before being returned to sender.
Your parcel has been held at your local DPD depot. Please contact the depot directly to arrange re-delivery. This status means that we have received the data pertaining to your delivery from the shipper - the parcel has not neccessarily been received by DPD yet.
How long will a DPD pickup shop hold my parcel UK?

If you are sending a parcel to a business address, the driver will attempt to deliver the parcel a maximum of three times. The last attempt will only take place by appointment. If it still was not possible to deliver the parcel, the parcel will send back to the sender.
What do DPD do if your not in?

What does it mean when my parcel is being held?

If we were unable to deliver your parcel securely directly to you the first time, the driver will have left a “We called to deliver / collect your parcel” card.
Generally, Customs officers will visit multiple sites during the day and process their releases in the afternoon. The process can take anywhere from 12-48 hours and even longer during high traffic periods. Customs releases are also not guaranteed.
Why would customs hold my package?
'Held at Customs' means the package you are sending to the destination country is held by the officials of the importer country's customs office. These government bodies hold the packages until they ensure that only permissible items cross their border and the taxes (Duties & Excise) are paid for the import.
If I miss the delivery from DPD can I arrange to pick up from my local DPD depot? Yes. There is a facility to do this via the email or text you receive from DPD.
What happens when DPD collect a parcel?
With DPD parcel collection our couriers come to a specific location, chosen by you, to pick up a parcel before taking it back to the depot to be sorted then sent on to the recipient. Parcel collection services are ever popular, as they give freedom to the sender to get on with their day uninterrupted.
Yes, in addition to their own ID, that person must also bring a copy or photo of the ID of the actual recipient so that we can check the name and details with what is on the parcel.
Will DPD deliver without a signature?
Your driver is required to hand over the parcel at the point of delivery, unless we have your permission to leave the parcel somewhere safe. The parcel sender is expecting a signature as proof of delivery, instead of a signature, our driver takes a photo of the parcel in the doorway to prove it was handed over.
DPD will send delivery updates by text. You'll get a text: the day before the delivery, including tracking information and an the option to rearrange. on the morning of the delivery - you'll get a one-hour scheduled delivery time (e.g. between 12.24 and 13.24) and the name of the DPD driver.
Is Saturday a working day DPD?
Do DPD deliver on Saturdays? Yes. Once you book your delivery on the day before (Friday), you have several Saturday delivery service options to choose from.
How many attempts are made to deliver a parcel? The driver will make one delivery attempt. You're not there? The driver will try to deliver your parcel to your neighbour or at a Pickup parcelshop, so that you may receive your parcel as soon as possible but not later than 7 days.
Do DPD text if missed delivery?
If you have missed a parcel from DPD, you may receive a text message similar to the one below. The key point to note is the website link in the text message is a scam – the differences between this and the genuine DPD website addresses are subtle, but they are vital.
