Is being a package handler at FedEx hard?
It's a great workout, very diverse and little to no micromanaging. Pay is at the top end of as bad as everywhere else. The upper management is struggling, The handlers are mostly a pretty fun group to work with. The hours are kind of inconsistent and not quite enough.
Package Handlers are responsible for warehouse duties including: the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling and etc.
Is it hard working at FedEx ground?
Very very hard work. Lifting large and heavy packages. Shifts are reasonable (4-5hrs) but even in that amount of time your body will be pushed to the limit. Management is cool and care about you're well being.

It is definitely a very demanding job and you have to be a great shape to keep up. However, my supervisors were very supportive and emphasized my safety when on the job. Loved the work, will definitely go back.
