You can apply as soon as six months before you move. You can also apply up to six months after you've moved, however we may need to ask you extra questions when you apply for security reasons. Can I apply after I've moved? You can still apply to have your mail redirected up to six months after you've moved.
From a PO Box®: the maximum Redirection period is six months. Your Redirection can run for up to four years from the original start date. You won't be able to renew beyond this length of time.
