What happens if I am not home for DPD delivery?
The DPD driver will leave a note in your letterbox stating the address of the Pickup parcel shop and when the parcel will be available for collection. DPD will also send you an email stating when the parcel has arrived at the Pickup parcel shop. Take some proof of identity with you when you go to collect your parcel.
How many attempts are made to deliver a parcel? The driver will make one delivery attempt. You're not there? The driver will try to deliver your parcel to your neighbour or at a Pickup parcelshop, so that you may receive your parcel as soon as possible but not later than 7 days.

Why has my DPD parcel not been collected?
Why hasn't my parcel been collected? There are few reasons why a courier may not be present for a scheduled collection: Driver Out of Time — other deliveries have ran over their allotted time period, which means there's no time left on the day for the driver to collect your parcel.
If it happens that your parcel is marked delivered but it was not received, the reason may simply be a wrong information that the courier driver had inserted into the trackign system. The status can, in fact, pertain to a different package. The courier company will be able to clear up the picture.
Can someone else accept my DPD parcel?
Yes, in addition to their own ID, that person must also bring a copy or photo of the ID of the actual recipient so that we can check the name and details with what is on the parcel.
