What happens if I miss my delivery with DPD?
The driver will make one delivery attempt. You're not there? The driver will try to deliver your parcel to your neighbour or at a Pickup parcelshop, so that you may receive your parcel as soon as possible but not later than 7 days.
You can check on the shipping status of your parcel by simply entering the parcel label number or reference number. Track your parcel live and see when we'll be ringing your doorbell. Right down to the last 30 minutes! In addition, myDPD or our app enable you to redirect parcels and register your delivery preferences.
How many times will DPD attempt to deliver a parcel?
If you don't call DPD, they'll try to deliver your order on the next working day. If you're not there again, it'll try again for a third time on the next working day after that. If you still weren't able to receive your order after the third attempt, DPD will hold on to it for seven days.
DPD will send delivery updates by text. You'll get a text: the day before the delivery, including tracking information and an the option to rearrange. on the morning of the delivery - you'll get a one-hour scheduled delivery time (e.g. between 12.24 and 13.24) and the name of the DPD driver.
Does DPD require signature?
With every delivery of a parcel via DPD, the driver asks for a signature for receipt. This is a standard service of DPD and therefore without any extra costs.

What does in transit mean DPD?
When your shipment is 'in transit', this means that it is en route towards its destination. Your parcel has left the departure warehouse. Once it arrives at the destination branch, its status will change to 'out for delivery'.

How many deliveries do DPD do a day?
You will deliver 120 stops on average everyday without fail, 120 stops could be anywhere from 130-170 parcels of ALL shapes and sizes!
If you want to be really sure, we offer an ID-check with our domestic shippment. Delivery is exclusively to the person you nominate, who must produce their identification document (identity card, passport or driving licence).
What time do DPD drivers start?
The delivery times vary each day from around 8am to 6pm. Drivers in other countries all deliver from Monday to Friday.
If it happens that your parcel is marked delivered but it was not received, the reason may simply be a wrong information that the courier driver had inserted into the trackign system. The status can, in fact, pertain to a different package. The courier company will be able to clear up the picture.
What do I need to pick up a DPD parcel?
Choose from one of our 2,500 local Pickup shops and we'll have your parcel ready for you by midday tomorrow. You'll need to be bring 2 pieces of ID, photo ID and ID with your address on it, such as a utility bill.
