Parcelforce Worldwide is a trading name of the Royal Mail and is organised within the UK Parcels, International and Letters division of the group. The company delivers to destinations worldwide, using an international partner network.
Are Parcelforce and Royal Mail the same company?
In 1990 Royal Mail Parcels was rebranded to Parcelforce, along with a massive investment in IT and infrastructure with the introduction of online tracking and the construction our National and International sorting hubs. Then in 1998 the business was rebranded to Parcelforce Worldwide.
Parcelforce will deliver the parcel within 3 working days. DHL will deliver the parcel at a faster speed of within 1 working day, but this is at a more expensive rate. DHL ships to both EU and NON-EU countries using the same services it uses for its international services, but with a limit to 30kg per package.19-Aug-2020
Why does Parcelforce take so long?
the delay is caused by adherence to Parcelforce Worldwide policies to provide a copy of the delivery record or a copy of the signature obtained at delivery; the parcel has not been packed adequately or has been packaged incorrectly. This information can be found in our Packaging Advice pages.
Missed a parcel delivery? After an initial attempted delivery, we will automatically attempt redelivery on the next working day if we haven't left your item at your local Post Office or with a neighbour. You can arrange an alternative redelivery or pick up below.
Who is the owner of DPD?
DPD are one of Europe's leading parcel groups and are wholly owned by France's La Poste, the second largest postal group in Europe.

Does Post Office Post Parcelforce?
You can book onlineOpens in new window on parcelforce.com and choose for our driver to collect or you can drop off at one of local depots (get £1 off published tariff rates if you choose drop off). You can take your item to a local Post Office®.

Where are Parcelforce parcels undelivered?
When no one is available to accept the item, we will try and deliver the parcel to a neighbour, or to a local Post Office branch, where it will be held for 16 days. A card will be left informing the recipient of the attempted delivery and where the parcel can be collected from.
Please note: That we deliver Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm and Saturday 7am to 2pm. We currently cannot give specific times for deliveries. We will attempt to deliver a maximum of 3 times, after which you will need to collect your parcel from the depot.
Are all Parcelforce parcels tracked?
All Parcelforce Worldwide UK services can be tracked, as can most of the international services except globalvalue and globaleconomy. Globalvalue and globaleconomy also have no delivery guarantee.
If you are sending a parcel through parcelforce.com you will be provided with a tracking number in your order confirmation email, or on the Post Office receipt if you have dropped it off at your local branch.
Is Parcelforce better than Royal Mail?
As you can imagine from a subsidiary of Royal Mail the prices are pretty much the same as Parcelforce. The main difference between these couriers is Parcelforce is usually a more cost-effective option for shipping heavier or larger parcels.
Deliveries to UK recipients in UK zones 1-3 are usually made between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, depending on the service selected. A Saturday service is available to the majority of UK destinations for an additional fee of £12 per consignment. Deliveries are typically between 7:00am and 1:00pm.
Do Parcelforce deliver on a Sunday?
We also offer a Sunday delivery service for non-account customers through our Post Office® branches. If the parcel is sent on a Friday we can guarantee a Sunday delivery*.

Does Parcelforce require signature?
To ensure the safe delivery of your parcel, we need a signature to confirm successful delivery. If there is nobody to receive the parcel, the driver will either attempt delivery to a neighbour or take your parcel to be securely held at the local Post Office or depot.
We replaced signatures with Photo-on-Delivery in July 2021. Photo-on-Delivery is now mandatory for all deliveries. The quality of the photos we capture is key to providing our customers with proof of delivery.04-Jan-2022
Can I track a Parcelforce delivery without tracking number?
The simplest and quickest way to do this is online using track and trace. If you are expecting to receive a parcel, please contact the sender of the parcel for the tracking number. We are unable to track your parcel without the tracking number.
