What will UPS do if I not home?
Shipments that do not require a signature can be left in a safe place, out of sight and out of weather, at the driver's discretion. This could include the front porch, side door, back porch, garage area, or with a neighbor or leasing office (which would be noted in a yellow UPS InfoNotice® left by the driver).

How do I check my UPS collection?
Select Shipping History from the Shipping menu on the ups.com homepage. Then select the radio button next to your shipment and select Show Detail/Receipt. On the Shipment Details page, select the Collection Request Number and the status information will be displayed.
If you are unavailable when UPS attempts delivery at your address, UPS may deliver your parcel to a UPS Access Point® location near your home, where your parcel will be held for you to collect for 10 calendar days. After 10 calendar days, your parcel will be returned to the sender as undeliverable.
Will UPS attempt second pickup?
UPS brings the shipment label to the collection location and collects the package. If the package cannot be collected on the first attempt, UPS will attempt to collect the package on each of the next two business days. If the package cannot be collected after the third attempt, the labels are returned to UPS.
We are unable to provide two delivery attempts on the same day. Your driver may make a second attempt on the next business day and a third attempt on the following business day, if necessary. Where available, your shipment may be taken to your nearest UPS Access Point location™ for collection.
What happens if a package needs a signature and no one is home?
If a shipment requires, either an indirect, direct or adult signature, and a delivery attempt is made, but no one is there to sign for the package, the driver will leave a door tag at the recipient's door.
You can request an intercept from the tracking detail page when tracking your package or you can follow the steps below to request one from your shipping history. Please note: you must request an intercept prior to the first delivery attempt.
How long will UPS hold an item?
UPS will hold a customer's package for five business days. If the package is left longer than 5-7 days, the parcel will be returned to the merchant. To return an item via an Access Point, you need only drop off a UPS package at an access point.

How many times will UPS attempt delivery?
