How big a parcel can I send with Hermes?

How do you calculate maximum overall size?
With some services there are restrictions on the maximum allowed which is calculated with the Overall Size. How to calculate overall size: Take the two shortest sides of your parcel and sum them. Multiply the sum by 2 and finally add the length. The total is the overall size.

Can I send a 20kg parcel with Hermes?
Hermes max weight is 15kg and they won't take parcels longer than 1.2m, so this is not a suitable service for really large parcels. Through our courier quote tool, you can get prices and book discounted Hermes services for parcels up to 15kg. Anything larger will need to go via another courier.
Weight - There is no limit to the weight of a multi-parcel consignment but individual parcels must not exceed 30kg. Length and Girth - For our standard services, The size of each parcel must not exceed 3 metres in length and girth combined and must not exceed 1.5 metres in length.
How do you calculate package size?
Packages upto 70 Kgs. of weight can be imported to India through courier mode. However, there is no such weight limit for export of goods through courier from India.
Do DPD weigh their parcels?
They do not monitor the weight of items upon delivery. We have a business account with DPD and UKMail and I can confirm they do scan the weight if the unit in transit. All the way till it's loaded onto the delivery van.18-May-2017
